It's important for any aquaculture business to stay on top of the leading industry trends in order to be successful. However, it can be daunting to to know where to start or who to turn to for advice. After all, time and money is a precious resource.

Chris Miller sat down with industry experts Matt Clarke, P. Eng, who specializes in NetPen operations and cofounded Poseidon Ocean Systems, Tim Sjostrom, who specializes in RAS systems and is the Project Manager for Kuterra, and Libardo Estupinan, P. Eng, a chemical engineer with specialization in oxygen equipment at Oxygen Solutions Inc. Together, they took a look into identifying some of the top trends and elements businesses are doing and implementing into their aquaculture practices in 2020. According to these experts, some of these trends will be morphing the future of aquaculture practices and technologies and some could fade away over the next few years.

Topics covered include Floating-Closed Containment, Nanobubble Technology as a method of oxygen supplementation, moving away from NetPens while maintaining open-water systems, Integrated Aquaculture, and more.
